Kyrie Silverwings

"Don't stare for long. You might regret it."
Age: 29
Height: 5' 7"
Hair: white, of varying lengths / originally brown
Eyes: bright green, black sclera - which she no longer cares to hide
Distinguishing Features: purple tattoo over her eyes of strange origin, blackish veins visible through skin
Kyrie is a strange woman. She appeared one day in the Black Shroud, stumbling through the forest in tatters and delirious from a long journey. Befriended by a lone couple in Bentbranch, she made her way to Gridania and quickly assimilated amongst the populace. She often deflected questions of her origins, claiming to be from some small village of no import. The truth was much stranger; she was a sojourner from another world, transported by powerful magic. Not only that, but she bears an indelible curse of undeath - her deepest secret, kept hidden by aether-obscuring arts or objects.
Due to her clever nature, Kyrie earned something of a name for herself by hunting creatures that threatened the roads and assisting the Wood Wailers on occasion. Eventually, this earned her a recommendation to join the ranks of The Order of the Twin Adders. From there, Kyrie climbed through the ranks, starting as a scout in the South Shroud and based her work around Quarrymill. She and her squadron specialized in neutralizing voidsent and recovering items from the ruins scattered in the area. It is suspected that Kyrie also dealt with local criminal groups, though specific connections were left unknown. In the span of half a year, she attained the rank of Sergeant - a feat that drew resentment due to her foreign nature and willingness to bend the rules. Over the course of the next two years, Kyrie attains the Rank of Serpent Captain, with whispers of illicit activity filling her coffers. Reports remain ambiguous during the rebellion of Ala Mhigo against Garlean occupation, wherein Kyrie sent herself and her squadron to assist the Eorzean Alliance.
Towards the end of her second year in Eorzea, the Twin Adders are attacked by voidsent while Kyrie was retrieving one of her possessions from her office. Kyrie comes under suspicion from the other senior Adder officers, some even accusing her of involvement with the attack. She takes the opportunity during the chaos to remove reports of her activity to avoid investigation by the Adders and continues her search, which leads her to the lowest level of the barracks. Finding the source of the voidsent, Kyrie tries to alert other nearby Adders and is ambushed by a powerful creature, which kills her before it is subdued. Carrying her lifeless body out of the Adder's Nest, the other Serpent officers who bore witness to the aftermath effectively retire Kyrie from service. It takes the help of Corveaux Noucins, the butler of House Nox, and the use of a magicked coffin to regenerate Kyrie back to consciousness.
Now with her Adder career up in smoke, Kyrie has moved to the icy land of Ishgard. She considers her "retirement" an odd blessing, and continues her personal operations throughout Eorzea and often ventures to farther lands - even provinces in the midst of war are free game to her.

Shadowbringers Spoilers Ahead
A man who is undoubtedly foreign and marked by an air of mystery and eccentricity, Erebus is proudly a denizen of Amaurot, the long-fallen civilization destroyed by a Cataclysm of epic proportions. He survived the fall though his creation of an alternate dimension within his paintings and hid himself for thousands of years. He slept within a pocket of the rift for thousands of years, until his aether reached its limit, causing the decay of his greatest work.
In order to save himself from fading away in the darkness, Erebus split his soul three times, each one a gamble to release him from his painted prison; Kyrie and Kyrien were first - twin souls who survived the end of their world and succeeded in freeing Erebus. The journey through the rift forced Erebus to split again, creating the wild soul of Morag. Faced with death in the abyss, Erebus tethered his remaining power to Kyrien's body, possessing him and sustaining him until Kyrien was found by the Ascian Emet-Selch and plucked from the rift.
This marked the start of a long, frustrating period where Kyrien was in control while Erebus could only manifest in spates of aetheric unbalance, all the while conscious during Kyrien's travels with Emet-Selch. This aggravated Erebus's resentment of the Ascian, himself an Amaurotine, as Erebus believed the Convocation a failure and directly responsible for the loss of the great civilization.
Meanwhile, Kyrien worked as a personal guard to Emet-Selch to repay him for saving his life, following him across the First and the Source. He came to trust Emet while only partly understanding the state of the world while remaining ignorant of the machinations of the Ascians. As Emet-Selch's machinations continue, Kyrien's doubts grow and eventually, he surrenders to Erebus's influence. Kyrien's soul is expelled from their shared body and dwells within the shape of a morpho butterfly. Drawn back to Kyrie's side, she helps to sustain Kyrien's aether to keep a newfound ally from death.
Freed at last, Erebus alters Kyrien's body to something more like his original appearance and takes off into the First. Using the boons granted by Emet-Selch to Kyrien, he travels freely between the nations of Norvrandt, seeking the Ascian wherever he is in the First.
Morag

"And you simply trade that away? Is this what entertains humans so?"
Age: appears late 20s, chronologically a year old
Height: can vary, usually around 6' 11"
Hair: currently vivid purple, but can change on a whim
Eyes: green, catlike with black sclera
Distinguishing Features: fangs, constantly sports a pair of opaque pince-nez, concealing clothing, slow growth of two forehead horns
An enigma wrapped within a conundrum, Morag is the last shard of Erebus the Amaurotine. Her origin is unknown to her and as far as her memory serves, she is a nobody.
She awoke one day at the threshold of Haukke Manor, alone in the wilderness with no posessions. A Sharlayan scholar, Weston Thorgold, discovered her and decided to help Morag out of goodwill and curiosity. A specialist on Mhachi history, he could only guess on the nature of the strange, Elezen-appearing woman with no memory. Seeing as she was not a threat, Weston fully introduced himself to Morag - a mistake given her innate, fey-like powers. With his name in her possession, Morag and Weston share an unbreakable bond.
To her, the scholar is both a lifeline and a boon; Weston's academical expertise provides Morag some hope of finding out her origins, or at least a clue to them. Weston told her truthfully that she is likely a voidsent, a roaming, predatory, and powerfully magical species that are known to terrorize the lands of Hydaelyn. This overwhelming revelation is trivial to her; it does not matter to Morag what people think of voidsent, only that she can glean knowledge from those who associate with voidsent.
With the Sharlayan under her persuasion, Morag follows his clues and travels across Eorzea. She slinks from city-state to village and while not hostile to the land's inhabitants, she is intensely private and has spawned several rumors about herself. She refuses to interact further with most people, considering Weston to be the only trustworthy person in her life.
Morag's discoveries paint a new avenue for her to explore. With Weston's guidance - which she is more attentive to now - she travels to Ishgard to seek out informants who deal with relics of the Sixth Astral Era.
Persona // Kyrie Silverwings
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Personality:
Kyrie is woman driven to seek out new experiences in the pursuit of power. At first meeting, she can be aloof and detached, casual when meeting others and often found leaning in an alcove of a busy public establishment. She is flighty and impulsive, taking on missions, requests, and investigations and often travels alone. Kyrie is polite enough to follow Eorzean social standards, but quickly chafes under abrasive questioning or authority. She enjoys combat and fighting, but a keen observer may notice that she frequently holds back in sanctioned battles. Due to her "retirement", Kyrie is elusive and secretive and will deflect queries on her occupation; even remarking on her strange appearance will elicit little more than a shrug and dismissive remark. Befriending her somewhat melts her dodgy exterior, revealing a woman capable of great endurance in hardships and tolerance towards nearly every race and origin.

Persona // Erebus
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Personality:
Erebus is a passionate man who devotes himself to his art. He views life with a strange lens, at one moment he is hot-blooded and motivated to push himself to his limits to create, followed by quiet, introspective periods where his muse wanes. He is always thinking of Amaurot, while trying to bottle away his intense yearning towards his fallen home. Erebus, like Kyrie, is flighty and avoids allegiance towards any major power, making him a loner in most groups. People either despise him or find him a delight, given the slight tinge of arrogance in his confident demeanor. He is fascinated by the macabre and grotesque and is only an accidental conversation away from heresy at any given time. When befriended, Erebus is a devoted ally and is accepting of anyone deemed an outcast or outsider.

Persona // Morag
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Personality:
Morag is an odd creature, especially in social settings. She comes off as shy and awkward, especially if initiating conversation but can somewhat carry dialogue if approached. She is curious about the activities of others and tends to eavesdrop. She has a different sense of morality than most; "good" means self-fulfillment and the pursuit of freedom, while "bad" is wastefulness, giving up time for someone without an equivalent exchange. This method of thinking makes her seem selfish, perhaps petty, but she at least understands that mortals have their own standards. She does not try much to fit in, and will lie or intimidate strangers who pry too much into her privacy. As for people who have somehow befriended her, Morag makes an intriguing ally who gets into as much trouble as she offers to help. She has a dominating personality, but avoids effort at the same time - making her seem like an over-indulged feline.

Hello there! I'm a little free-floating in the FFXIV RP community at the moment due to unpredictable work schedules and a backlog of other games. I put this carrd together to help illustrate my main muses and what to expect from them should they cross your path with the RP tag on!
I RP in game and through Discord or Tumblr; in-game RP I usually schedule after 4PM CST while Discord / Tumblr can be whenever. I post a bit slow, due to prepping for grad school this year, but I appreciate any interaction!
I'm 29, and am comfortable with RP'ing with a lot of dark themes, please don't hesitate to ask what my limitations are. I keep things civil here; IC =/= OOC is my standard. I don't interact with underage muns due to my content being 18+.
